The Jackson where born in Gary,Indana to kathren and Joe Jackson.the Jacksons are Rebe,Jackie,Tito,jermaine,latoya,Marlon,Michael,Randy and Janet.Living in Gary was one of the best parts of the jackson's lives,life there was so simple unlike the months of touring they would have to face years later.In 1963 Joe learned that his boys could sing so he formed a little music group called "The Jackson 4" with Jakie,Tito,Jermaine and Marlon.Michael didnt join yet because his parents tought he was to young but when Michael sang in a school play when he was 5 his parents knew he was perfect for the group.Then the group was complet Michael and Jermaine(who also played Bass) as the lead singers,Jackie with the high notes,Tito with his bass voice(who also played the gatar)and marlon with his sweet soft voice.Joe got his kids local gigs around Gary,such as mall's,club's and bars.The Jackson's earned a name for themselfs as one of the most talented groups around performing song's by great people such as The Temptations and The Four Tops.After months of performing in local gigs the Jackson took a step ahead and whent to the Apollo. The Apollo was a big night for the Jackson's even though the have been in contest before this was much diffrent for at the Apollo star's are born such as The Temtations,James Brown,The Four Tops and The Supremes.The Jackson's where very nervis about preforming that night but they did.The Jackson's perfomed "Twist and Shout" And got a standing ovation.They won that night at the Apollo.In the audence that night was singer Bobby Taylor.Bobby thught the Jackson's could really make it so he got them in auddition with Motown Records. The boy's auddtioned for Berry Gordy(the fonder of motown)and got a contract instintly.Berry was thinking of a way to introduce the boys to the world.He tought it would be a good idel for the Jacksons to be on "hollywood tonight"with Diana Ross as the host.That night the Jacksons performed there frist single off of motown " I Want You Back"."I Want You Back" whent all the way to number one."ABC","The Love You Save" and "I'll Be There" all when to number and when "i'll Be There" became the biggest sellng single in motown history the Jackson's knew they were stars.Other singles by the Jacksons were "Never Can Say Goodbye","Mama's Perl","Mabey Tomorow","Sugar Daddy" and "Looking Through The Windows" they even did redishings off Somkey Robison's"who's Loving You".Through the years the jackson's have become one of the most biggest bands of it's time and there muisc will live on in all of are hearts.
